Use Claude Duet with Housecall Pro: What to Set Up First
Understand Claude Duet access, custom connector setup, and a practical first Housecall Pro reporting task for your home-service business.

For a home-service owner, that could mean open estimates, upcoming jobs, or invoices that need attention. Claude Duet is designed for proactive work, but there are a few things to establish before calling it a Housecall Pro integration.

Check that you have access
As of October 26, 2026, Duet is a US research preview with a waitlist for Pro and Max subscribers S10. Having a Claude subscription does not by itself prove your Duet access is enabled.
Configure and test the data connection
Start with one task, confirm access, configure the connection, verify known records, review the report and then add a routine.

Claude's documentation describes custom remote MCP connectors. The documented route is Customize > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web, followed by the connector name, server URL, and authentication setup S4. That URL must point to an MCP service, not just an ordinary REST API.
A proposed Housecall Pro bridge would hold the upstream credential and offer selected read tools. Verify the connector in Claude first. Then verify its availability and behavior in your Duet account. Duet's launch material describes carrying over connected apps, but that does not establish compatibility with every custom Housecall Pro implementation S10.
Ask for one useful report
Try this promptPrepare a short owner brief from the approved Housecall Pro data: estimate candidates for review, upcoming jobs missing an assignment, and invoices meeting our agreed overdue rule. Include record IDs, source timestamps, and data you could not retrieve. Draft recommendations only; do not send messages or change records.
Start with one category before combining them. For overdue invoices, use actual due dates and balances; an old unpaid invoice is not automatically overdue.
Plan the demonstration honestly
Duet's current preview cannot show you its browser S10. Use a labeled example report, an official product demo, or a separately captured Claude connector setup. Do not label a Claude Cowork or Chrome screen as Duet.
